What it is

Navratri honours the nine forms of Durga. Chandi Path is the recitation of the Durga Saptashati, 700 verses telling of the Goddess's victory over darkness.

When families do it

Sharad and Chaitra Navratri, Ashtami and Navami, or any time a family wants Mataji's blessing.

What happens

1. Ghatsthapana: setting the sacred pot and sowing grain
2. Daily Durga puja and aarti
3. Chandi Path, complete or in parts
4. Ashtami or Navami havan and kanya puja

I can lead puja at home, for a garba organiser before the evening starts, or the Ashtami havan for a community group.
