Maha Mrityunjaya Jaap in Fort Myers, Florida

Chanting of Lord Shiva's great mantra for health, healing and protection.

What it is

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, from the Rig Veda, asks Shiva to free us from fear and untimely death as easily as a ripe cucumber falls from the vine. It is chanted for someone who is unwell or in danger.

When families do it

During illness, before surgery, on Mondays or whenever a family needs strength.

What happens

1. Sankalp in the name of the person
2. Japa of the mantra for an agreed count
3. Optional havan with the mantra
4. Blessed water or prasad for the person

This can be done in your name even if the person is in hospital or overseas. We agree the count in advance.
