Groundbreaking Puja in Fort Myers, Florida

Asking Mother Earth's permission before construction begins on a home, temple or business.

What it is

Bhoomi Pujan honours Bhoomi Devi (Mother Earth) and the Vastu deities before the ground is disturbed, asking for a safe build and a stable foundation.

When families do it

Before digging begins, on a muhurat chosen for the project.

What happens

1. Ganesh puja at the site
2. Puja of the land and the corner where work begins
3. Offering items into the first dug pit
4. First dig by the owner

Builders and contractors are welcome to join. I keep it short enough for a working site.
