Birthday & Milestone Pujas in Fort Myers, Florida

Pujas for long life on a first birthday, a 60th birthday (Shashtipurti) or any milestone year.

What it is

Ayushya Homa is a havan for health and long life. Shashtipurti marks the completion of 60 years, a full cycle of the Hindu calendar, and is often celebrated by the couple with their children and grandchildren.

When families do it

On the birthday by the Hindu calendar (tithi or nakshatra), or the nearest convenient day.

What happens

1. Ganesh puja and kalash sthapana
2. Ayushya Homa with offerings for long life
3. For Shashtipurti: renewal of vows by the couple
4. Aarti and blessings from and to the elders

A beautiful way to honour parents and grandparents. Children often find it more moving than a party.
